Call For Art.
The Benton County Skateboarding Alliance (BCSA) is hosting the 3rd annual Art & Music Show to raise money to improve the Eric Scott McKinley Skate Park in Corvallis, OR. Improvements include a new pro-style bowl, advanced street obstacles, lights, BBQ pits, and benches. We need $75,000 to $90,000 for the first phase (the bowl).
This is a community art show, and all art media and styles are accepted. All art in the show will be up for silent auction. We ask that a minimum of 51% of art sold go to the skate park fund. The show is planned for March 13th, 2010.
Art submission deadline is February 15th, 2010.
If you are interested in submitting art for this show, please contact the BCSA:Â bcskateboardingalliance@gmail.com.
The BCSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; donations are tax deductable.

Happy New Year from the BCSA!
The BCSA has made significant progress over 2009 as our plan to expand and improve the Corvallis Skatepark has CIP Commission Approval! This approval has allowed us to start working with volunteer grant writers and we are writing grants to fund the project. Many grants require matching funds so we also planning a skater lead fund raiser as well as planning for our annual Art and Music Benefit. Please stay tuned for more updates later this week. BCSA Admin

The CIP Commission voted to approve our proposal to expand the Corvallis Skatepark! This is not the final approval but it means that we have a firm commitment from the City of Corvallis which will allow us to write and submit grant proposals to help fund the project.
Yes, this process takes time, but now the only thing holding us back is funding. The sooner we raise the funds the sooner the bowl and other improvements will happen so help us help you by donating some cash to speed things up.
Thanks to ALL those who have helped and ALL those who will. We would not be here without you.  Stay tuned for more updates. Sincerely, BCSA Admin.
